Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Sometimes a weekend getaway is just what you need after a stressful week. Even a day trip can do wonders for your anxiety. A breath of fresh air and a break from the city is necessary… don’t kid yourself. It’s always nice to see a change of scenery.

Cancel your plans, get in your car, relax and drive to a nearby town or a different area you’ve never explored. A real road trip to another state or a destination that is more than two hours away is also an option if you have more time and money for gas.

This is an opportunity to be adventurous! Take it and run (or drive) with it. Bring along a map or GPS just so you can find your way back after you get lost of course. Stumbling upon new things makes losing your way exciting rather than scary. Keep an open mind. Head into a cute quaint town and go shopping. Hang with the locals and dine at their favorite spots.

You can also get active and in touch with the wilderness. Camping with friends can be a blast. However, that requires a little more planning. If that’s not appealing to you, hiking a mountain or lake is gorgeous scenery and makes for great pictures. A camera is a must while wandering! Who doesn’t love reliving spontaneous memories?
