DIY Dip Dye

A splash of color never hurt anything and dip dye isn’t rocket science. Even the most craft-challenged can handle this project and with “ombre” being so popular, this is a must try trend! Tie dye kits and single color dyes, such as Dylon or Rit, are fairly inexpensive and can be purchased at a local craft store. The liquid will go a long way when you use this method.
Prepare the dye as instructed in a tray or dish large enough for the bottom of your fabric to comfortably fit. Add more water to dilute the liquid if you prefer a lighter tint. Gently submerge the article you wish to dye in the liquid but not completely, just soaking the bottom few inches.

Depending on what is being dyed, you may want a larger area colored. Often times dying half of the article turns out great!
There are so many things to dip dye around the house and in the closet. White or light fabrics work best. Try a maxi skirt, denim, or plain t-shirt.
