Go get your nails and hair done! Feeling pretty and being noticed by others will definitely put that pep back in your step. If you can’t afford to splurge at the salon, invite your girls over and do manicures over cocktails. Its a fun way to vent, relax, and boost your self esteem.
2. Get back in the gym
Working out releases endorphins, making you feel happier. It’s a lot easier getting motivated to exercise post-breakup. Get your butt back in shape and move on to the next hottie Nothing like a post breakup diet!
3. Go on a shopping spree
Spending money to spoil yourself always feels great. Go for a new LBD or some sassy heels! Slipping in to something new and sexy will give you the confidence you need to relax and have a fun night out.
4. Pick up a new hobby
You’ll realize that you have much more time on your hands to do things for yourself. Take a cooking class or pick up yoga. Getting involved and staying busy will be a productive way to distract yourself and put your mind at ease.
5. Surround yourself with positive people
Fill your time with people that make you feel happy. Stick with your single friends for awhile and let your hair down! Being around happy couples can be nauseating the first few months. Don’t put yourself through that until you are ready. Surround yourself with the people in your life that make you feel good.
6. Eliminate the depressing stuff
I’m sure your iPod is full of breakup songs and your netflix is lined up with Nicholas Sparks films. Moping isn’t healthy! Put on something up beat or watch a comedy flick. Its amazing what a little Beyonce can do for your negative mood.
