Alright, we put together some of our classic favs, and added in a comedy or two. Here are some seriously fun Chick Flicks we just love…
Often listed among the greatest film comedies, and with one of the most iconic performances ever given, you will be sure to watch this film over and over again.
Breakfast At Tiffany’s
It’s quintessential Audrey Hepburn. She’s beautiful and classy, and you’ll want to dress like her for a month after watching this film. (which is why we love our other company so much too… www.somelikeitclassic.com )
Now and Then
Four small-town girls grow up together in this movie that captures the importance of life-long friendship.
Finally a female comedy that makes us ladies proud! Kristen Wig and the rest of the female cast did an inspiring performance that even the men couldn’t resist. And if you’re about to get married, this could be a fun one to watch with your bridal party!
A coming-of-age story in which everyone, the young and the less young, comes of age. It inspires you to follow your dreams no matter how old you are.
The Devil Wears Prada
Meryl Streep has another outstanding performance playing a character loosely based off of Vogue editor, Anna Winters. The film follows the crazy life of magazine editing and the fashion world, and ends with an astonishing sense of empowerment.
Mona Lisa Smile
You should basically see every movie Julia Roberts has touched. And this film is great because it has art, feminism, and 1950′s fashion.
A League of Their Own
Two sisters formed the first women’s professional baseball team and proved the whole country wrong. It’s truly an inspiring story. P.S. Madonna plays a gum-chewing, mouth-flapping baseball player, and it’s quite amusing.
This movie has everything in it… romance, love, marriage, babies, relationship of mother and daughter, death, laughter, friendship and a whole lot of tears… bring on the kleenex, this stellar cast knocks it out of the park!!
Sometimes a girl just needs to let out a good cry. Pop in Titanic and let the flood gates open with this timeless and arguably most devatastingly-romantic movie of all time.
The relationship with Mother and daughter can be fun… add in the teen years and it can be up and down. This is a cute and fun movie about Mom growing up with her two daughter… super cute chick flick! Added bonus… CHER!
Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood
Friendship, laughter, and more friendship. What a great flick to see after Mean girls… teach you the importance of friends!
