A coming-of-age story in which everyone, the young and the less young, comes of age. It inspires you to follow your dreams no matter how old you are.
The Devil Wears Prada
Meryl Streep has another outstanding performance playing a character loosely based off of Vogue editor, Anna Winters. The film follows the crazy life of magazine editing and the fashion world, and ends with an astonishing sense of empowerment.
Mona Lisa Smile
You should basically see every movie Julia Roberts has touched. And this film is great because it has art, feminism, and 1950′s fashion.
A League of Their Own
Two sisters formed the first women’s professional baseball team and proved the whole country wrong. It’s truly an inspiring story. P.S. Madonna plays a gum-chewing, mouth-flapping baseball player, and it’s quite amusing.
Steel Magnolias
This movie has everything in it… romance, love, marriage, babies, relationship of mother and daughter, death, laughter, friendship and a whole lot of tears… bring on the kleenex, this stellar cast knocks it out of the park!!
Titanic
Sometimes a girl just needs to let out a good cry. Pop in Titanic and let the flood gates open with this timeless and arguably most devatastingly-romantic movie of all time.
