As a self-proclaimed germaphobe, I have a hard time sharing in general, especially headphones. After a friend told me that we had accidentally switched headphones and she had been using mine for the last week, I decided it was time to do something about it. After stumbling upon the Free People blog, I found a creative way to differentiate my headphones forevermore.

Materials: headphones, thread, and scissors
After choosing your favorite colors, cut the thread longer than the headphones themselves. Next, you’ll make the “four” knots as seen above and pull them tightly to the top of the chord. Repeat this for as long as you wish each color to show. 
Your pattern may look a little funny in the beginning, but don’t give up! These unique headphones spice up your listening experience.
Not only will I be jamming in style, but most importantly, my headphones will never be mistaken again!
