You readers are going to start seeing diet reviews in the health section, seeing how I have tried almost every somewhat healthy diet in the marketplace – I want to share my experiences with you. (I don’t think HCG is healthy, and I will never try it, so you will never see a review… sorry :/ )
Currently I am doing the Herbalife Diet. In the first 3 days I lost 5 inches and 4 pounds. I attribute a couple of pounds lost because at my first weigh in I know I was packing a little water weight, but still 1-2 pounds in 3 days for me is a miracle.
The basic diet includes a multivitamin, a cell-u-loss supplement -another vitamin supplement loaded with nutrients, and a basic tea. As well as your two protein powders to make your shakes. For weight loss, they say drink 2 shakes a day, 2 snacks, and a healthy meal. So essentially you are doing meal replacements with shakes – low in calories and sugars, high in protein, and it fills you up. None of these products have any high energy or high doses of caffeine in them, so you won’t get jitters.
There is a lot of skepticism with the diet, however, if you think about it logically, you are likely decreasing 400-600 calories from your diet just by replacing them with low cal shakes. The drinks are full of vitamins too so you are packing in good nutrition, which to me is the most important part about weight loss and health.
The only thing that may get a little old is drinking shakes all the time, however, if you have a Herbalife location near you, you can go in and get different flavors breaking up the monotany. Also, if you do have a Herbalife location near you, you will also get support and coaching – which is so crucial for dieting … period.
So far I like the Herbalife Diet, it is a great quick start, eventually to maintain weight loss you can just replace one meal with a shake, such as breakfast. It’s simple… and the shakes literally taste like dairy queen, so it’s good for all you sweet tooth people. The tea is really delicious too. For those of you who have trouble like myself making food all the time because you are always on the go – this is a perfect start to a healthy lifestyle and no weird products in your body! Sticking to it is the only tricky part!!
