When to wear a hat!!

We have seen a big come back in hats the last couple years, especially this spring/summer – fedoras and floppy hats everywhere!!

*Definitely sport a fun hat in the sun – help protect your face from those uv rays so you can keep your good looks and look cool while you are at it.

*Wear a hat when you are out on the town with your friends, it becomes a conversation piece, and you might be the only person in the room with a fun hat on… you stand out in a positive way.

*Wear a hat to sporting events – a fedora is cute or a paperboy hat can be really fun!!

*Do wear a hat when you are having a rough hair day, or too lazy to do your hair. A cute side braid with a fun hat is definitely a go. You just look hip.

*Don’t wear a hat in a busy theatre or auditorium – people can’t see the show with your hat on.

*Men – remove the hat at the dinner table, it shows respect to a female

*Ladies – no need to ditch your hat when its on, except for the busy theatre and auditorium as said above, if you aren’t blocking anyone’s site. Also – don’t allow anyone to pull off your hat – its completely inappropriate for someone to ask you to take off your hat and wear it, or “see what you look like without a hat on”… tell them to learn some manners

*Don’t sport a hat at work – it’s likely not part of the dress code, but bring it in the car, and consider it for happy hour!!

*Skip the hat on a first date – take the time to do your hair – 2nd dates are completely a go however!!
